Every medical product requires indisputable proof of its primary physical effect, and in the case of LAVA PURE, it is the strengthening of the intestinal wall barrier through the specific binding of defined toxins in the gastrointestinal tract.
Leaky Gut – What is a Pathologically Permeable Gut?
Leaky Gut, also known as a permeable or "leaky" gut, is a health disorder in which the intestinal lining becomes too permeable. Normally, only nutrients and necessary substances are allowed into the bloodstream, while harmful substances remain in the intestines and are excreted through the stool. However, in Leaky Gut Syndrome, this filter is damaged, for example, by excessive use of medications like antibiotics, chronic stress, or environmental toxins. This leads to an uncontrolled influx of various irritants into the bloodstream, resulting in symptoms such as bloating, diarrhea, constipation, food intolerances, or abdominal pain. Additionally, systemic issues such as fatigue, headaches, skin irritations, or joint pain can occur. In the long term, Leaky Gut Syndrome can even lead to autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis or multiple sclerosis. Our modern lifestyle significantly contributes to the increase of Leaky Gut Syndrome.
LAVA PURE Regenerates the Intestinal Wall Barrier and Enhances Performance
In the treatment group, there was a significant decrease in zonulin levels, a marker for Leaky Gut, accompanied by an anti-inflammatory tendency. This means that the intake of PMA-Zeolite® leads to faster regeneration of the stress-induced disruption of the intestinal barrier function, and the anti-inflammatory effect relieves the immune system. As a result, endurance athletes experienced an average performance increase of 11%. The reduction of toxic load by LAVA PURE thus alleviates the intestinal lining, promoting normal gut function with positive effects on performance and recovery.
Method – 2014 Study
Clinical gold-standard study (double-blind, randomized, and placebo-controlled) at the Institute for Nutrient Research and Sports Nutrition Green Beat and the Medical University, both in Graz (Austria) / 52 healthy endurance-trained men and women (both physically and mentally stressed people develop Leaky Gut Syndrome, making athletes ideal subjects for this study) / 12-week supplementation with approx. 2 g of PMA-Zeolite® or microcrystalline cellulose (placebo) / stool and blood analyses at the start and after 12 weeks, with a focus on measuring the regulatory protein zonulin as a marker for Leaky Gut.
